Kicking off the first full day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, Aurelio Costarella’s Solaire runway debut was full of fierce feathers, summer brights and fine detailing. The show began with a body suit covered in shining beads and sparkling sequins, and to African-tribal music morphed into an array of bright pink and show stopping orange showgirl fringed pieces and silk panelled dresses.
Floaty layers and sweeping silhouettes were enhanced by tiny pleats, and silver bodices stood out when paired with leather cuffs and sleek-neon hairstyles. Swarovski face jewels enhanced the collections’ empowering feel, along with a strapless black maxi with silver sequins that had draws dropping.
