MBFF Sydney: Shakuhachi

Seeing my favourite label from the front row VIP style last week definitely didn’t have me complaining, and once again Shakuhachi cemented my love for them with their spectacular SS14 collection.

Known for her fun, quirky designs and daring feature prints the labels’ designer Jessie White describes her latest collection ‘Cyber Barbarella’ as 60′s inspired with a ‘fun interplay’ of modern textiles.

Sky high stockings, floating florals and intricate tailoring was on display with eye popping visuals and dreamy neoprenes. Speaking of neoprenes, we’re seeing this trend in daring colours flooding the runway this season (check out my Maticevski post).

My favourite pieces in the line would have had to be the punchy floral dress, bomber and bodysuit which I think summed up Spring fashion to a tee.

If you take any wardrobe inspiration from this line take the ability to be bold, floral and fun this season.
