MBFF Sydney: Maticevski

Floating angelically down the runway, you could say Tony Maticevski’s spring/summer collection was the highlight of a fabulous week at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney.

Jaws dropped as the breathtaking couture emerged onto the runway at the Trends and InStyle Red Carpet Runway shows, highlighting a collection embodied by sculptured neoprenes, embellished drapes and exquisite colours.

From the front row I lusted over the orange neoprene dress, which seemed to have a similar effect on the rest of the audience. The floor length wonder was a stand alone piece in it’s modern design, highlighting the need for colour and class this season.

Every dress to follow was timeless and independent of each before it, with the 50-esque black dress with full skirt signifying the fact that a classic piece will withstand any season.

Gorgeous ivories and gold detailing was the icing on a truly memorable show, made all the better with Victoria’s Secret model Erin Heatherton leading the isle like formation on the runway.
